Terms of use ShooterFinder
1. Provider and scope
ShooterFinder is provided by NBaiT Ventures GmbH, Hamburg, Germany (see legal notice). These terms apply to the use of the app and the associated service.
2. Purpose
ShooterFinder helps hunters document perceived shots and jointly narrow down possible shooting locations, for example when poaching is suspected. The app does not replace a report to the police or hunting authority.
3. Registration and approval
Use requires registration and approval by an administrator or a local admin. There is no right to approval. Name and e-mail address must be truthful. Access is personal and must not be shared.
4. Users’ obligations
- Report only shots you actually perceived, to the best of your knowledge.
- No unilateral action against suspected offenders. In case of danger call 110 (emergency).
- Contact details of other users visible in the app may only be used to coordinate on reported incidents.
5. User content, reporting and blocking
Notes and comments are visible to other users. There is zero tolerance for objectionable, insulting, discriminatory, threatening or unlawful content and for harassing other users. Such content must not be posted.
Every user can report comments and notes in the app and block other users, whose comments and notes are then hidden from them. Administrators usually review reported content within 24 hours. They remove inadmissible content and suspend users who violate these rules.
6. No guarantee for results
Computed shooting locations are estimates based on imprecise input (hearing, compass, GPS). The provider does not guarantee their accuracy.
7. Availability
The service is a prototype. No particular availability is promised.
8. Suspension and termination
Users can delete their account in the app at any time. The provider may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
9. Final provisions
German law applies.
