ShooterFinderHandbook: roles, groups, approvals
The key idea
Hunting areas decide what you see – your group decides whom you manage. Everyone sees reports and incidents in their own areas. Whoever invites others manages them as their group.
Roles and add-ons

How people get in
- With an invitation (recommended): you send a link; your colleague installs the app, signs in with Apple, completes the profile and is approved instantly. They join your group.
- Without an invitation: register with hunting licence number and hunting area. A confirmed local admin nearby or an admin reviews once, usually within 24 hours.
Inviting colleagues
In the app under Mehr → Meine Gruppe · Einladen: single link (one person), by e-mail (sent from no-reply@shooterfinder.de, replies go to you) or group link (several people, valid 7 days). Choose the role Melder or Editor. Links can be revoked at any time.
You vouch for your invitations. Only invite hunters you know. Never share group links publicly and revoke them once everyone has joined. ShooterFinder shows where hunters are – in the wrong hands that is dangerous.
Managing your group
Under Meine Gruppe → Gruppe you see everyone you invited or approved, with phone, e-mail and areas, and can suspend them. Invitees can invite others and then manage their own group. You cannot edit other people’s content – use “report” instead.
Confirmed local admins
Request it under Mehr → Bestätigter LokalAdmin werden with a short reason, hunting licence number and phone. You then get notified about registrations without invitation whose area is at most 20 km from yours and can approve or decline them under Meine Gruppe → Anfragen. Check before approving: do you know the person, does the licence number fit? When in doubt, call.
Admins
Under Mehr → Verwaltung: pending registrations and local-admin requests; users (role, local-admin flag, suspend, suspend with everyone invited through them); reported content (remove, dismiss, suspend author – aim: within 24 hours); bearing settings.
